Since you asked...
I'm a grateful husband and a silly dad. I try not to take life too seriously, and laugh at my self often.
I'm most at ease when creating anything with my hands. My zen moments happen while drawing, baking bread, strumming the guitar, thinking about the ocean, or pressing the shutter release button on my camera. I root for the underdog. I'm a terrible speller, a great listener and was voted class clown in 8th grade.
I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Graphic Design and have always been a visual thinker and story teller. When I'm not designing, I enjoy documenting life's moments, and am giddy when I've captured an image that makes people feel something.
Photography holds a special place in my heart. It's an art form that I've always connected with, and I love it even though I know I'll never master it. What can I say, I love the pursuit of perfection (most of the time).
I decided to specialize in documentary family photography because I'm inspired by its ability to capture, for ever in time, real human emotions and honest connections between people. Real life is raw, vulnerable, tender, funny, awkward and brief. What's not to love?
