So yes... I've been quiet for a while! Just taking some time to reflect on my ultimate goal with the 3 pictures a day project. I've decided to take a break because things were starting to get out of balance. For a while I felt like I was shooting and posting each day because I had too, not because I was inspired to... and that's not good. It was time to step back and re-evaluate why I was doing this, and figure out what I really wanted to get out of this project.
I started the project to grow as a photographer and I wanted to share my progress because I think sharing work is critical to growth. I definitely want to keep pushing myself, but I also think I need to find a good pace to work at. So... i've decided to change gears and try working on projects that are spaced out a bit more, but focus on a particular skill or technique that I want to learn or practice. They can be like mini-challenges that get me out of my comfort zone - and I'l post work every week or two as I complete them. I also have a back log of photos from the 3 Pics a Day project that I have yet to post!
In the end, I managed to shoot 3 pictures a day for 60 consecutive days! The project was invaluable because it gave me a jump start into what will undoubtably be a long journey of learning new skills and having new experiences. I'm really excited to keep going and already have a list of new projects to start working on.
I also want to say thank you to everyone for commenting and liking the shots I have been posting. It really means the world to me! So... THANK YOU!!! :)
